When it comes to weddings my philosophy is simple: the bride and groom should enjoy their special day. I have been to weddings where the wedding party looked utterly miserable. I have seen wedding photographers and videographers make the couple re-enact walking down the aisle multiple times and completely direct the wedding, exhausting the unlucky pair. I am here to record your special day in an artful manner, not to boss you around.
I combine photojournalistic style with traditional wedding photography. A wedding photographer should be unobtrusive, but at the same time omni-present, capturing candids and special moments outside of the formal portraiture. The photographer also has a responsibility to capture all of the traditional shots and direct when necessary, for example, when arranging formal portraits. I always endeavor to fulfill my responsibilities as a photographer while remaining as inconspicuous as possible.
